AMBRO

Keeps your fleet up to date.

Ambro protects borders, strategic infrastructure and populated areas from propeller- or turbine-driven loitering munitions at short, medium and long range. Combined with a ground radar or C2 system, and onboard visual navigation and targeting, Ambro is a high-speed autonomous interceptor: it detects, tracks and neutralises its target by kinetic impact or with a fragmentation payload, under the final authorisation of a human operator.

Modular architecture

Its modular architecture ensures easy adaptation to each user's requirements. When a threat introduces a new technology, neither AMBRO nor the stockpile becomes obsolete: it simply calls for replacing a plug-and-play module, whether from the user's stockpile or directly in the field. The entire system is designed to integrate with mobile platforms such as a pickup, an unmanned surface vessel (USV), or a UGV.

02 — Proof of concept: high-speed kinetic striker

MENHIR

Not just a drone, a kinetic weapon system. Based on the world speed record-breaking design.

Menhir is a high-speed FPV interceptor, its airframe descended from a world speed record holder. Tested against both ground and aerial threats, it carries a light payload when the mission calls for one. Every engagement stays reversible until the last second: the operator holds the controls and can call the aircraft home at any time.

Launch fast. Watch longer. Strike smarter.

Par Belenos launches as a rocket (shot from a canister or dropped from an aircraft using a solid motor), then converts mid-flight into a fixed-wing aircraft, unfolding its wings into cruise on its own. From there, it loiters, watches, or strikes. Onboard AI handles target recognition; navigation keeps working when GNSS does not.

04 — Proof of concept: VTOL mothership platform

AIRION

No runway. Versatile. Swiss precision. Infinite missions.

Airion is the mothership. It lifts off vertically from wherever it happens to be standing, carries 2.5 kg out to 40 km, and can release smaller drones, move material or fly search and rescue. The flight is autonomous, with manual override whenever an operator wants it. Missions run from target tracking to signal relay and resupply.

Autonomous indoor mapping

The platform builds a map of an interior while it flies through it, with no satellite signal to work from.

When jamming hits, the platform falls back on maps loaded before the flight and finds its position by matching them against what it sees. No satellite signal required.

About

A decade of R&D,
spun into a company.

Since 2014, our founding team has developed drone systems within a Swiss engineering research environment affiliated with HES-SO, Switzerland's largest university of applied sciences, starting with maritime and terrestrial platforms and later moving into high-performance aerial systems. In November 2025, Volatorix was spun off as its own company. Its mandate is to develop and scale Swiss-made drone platforms for national security, border surveillance, tactical reconnaissance and force protection. The systems behind it have ten years of field use, including technology partnerships with European defence primes.

The team is small and deliberately mixed: systems, mechanical, electrical and software engineers, data scientists, aerodynamicists, technicians, and drone pilots who fly what we build. Having the pilots and the technicians in the same room as the designers changes what gets designed. Safety engineering, applied AI and system reliability run through every programme, because the people carrying these systems never get to choose their conditions.

We work in Switzerland, next door to the academic labs we came out of, with access to high-fidelity simulation suites, autonomous flight arenas and secure prototyping facilities. That lets us iterate quickly under real constraints without loosening security. One team carries each concept from the first sketch to the flight campaign, which is what we mean by "Idea-to-Flight": prototype quickly, integrate as we go, and scale without the cost of starting over. What comes out is meant to be ready to deploy, quick to field and hard to break.
